oil flow rate (common paper filters restrict flow when the
engine oil is cold, which can cause the bypass valve to
open, allowing dirty engine oil to flow back
into the engine). Lack of oil or slow flow rate to the top
end is the main reason a KLR 650 will lose a camshaft.
