I thought you might like to see "living proof" as to why all KLR riders should replace the JUNK OEM gear shift lever with a nice stout Studebaker one like you offer (I did before the junk totally gave up right before I left for a 1000 mile trip to the middle of NOWHERE).
Thanks for providing such good stuff for our otherwise great mount!

After about 150,000 km I installed the oversized front rotor on my 2001 KLR 650. For over two years and 55,000 + km it has taken knocks on stumps, rocks
and the odd cattle-guard in all kinds of weather without any issue. The kit was installed quickly, easily and fit precisely (looks good too). But what impressed me
most was the stopping power. I can stop at least 20% faster, with the limiting factor now being the front tire locking up or the back tire lifting up. For any pavement
riding this rotor is the best upgrade a pre-2007 KLR can have, and after a quality helmet and suit, the best investment you can make to stay safe.
